Pastors Serve Too!

Jim Hoekstra, pastor of Immanuel OPC in Anoka, MN, joined a team headed to the Czech Republic this past summer. While there, he helped host and teach English Camp for local children. In addition to standard vocabulary themes which are taught throughout the week, reading and conversation lessons are drawn from Bible stories. Pastor Jim speaks of the trip in this way:

"I joined a two-week mission trip to the Czech Republic to help our missionaries, the Farniks. Though there was much preparation to be done before the trip, I was privileged to teach five English classes and five Bible Classes, preach twice, and give another talk. I loved interacting with the Czechs and had many opportunities to talk with them about general matters and about the Lord. On the Sunday after the English Camp (back in Prague over 2 hours away), over 25 new people joined the mission work in worship. What an amazing service to attend! Thank you for your prayers, and give thanks to God for the short term and the longer-term blessings."
