by Mihyang Choi-Yoon, Missionary Training Institute, South Korea (November 21, 2017)
The Missionary Training Institute (MTI) in South Korea (founded in 1983 by OPC missionaries Young and Mary Lou Son), is a place where Korean missionary trainees live and study together in a residential community setting. In all aspects of the training, teaching, and community life, the Holy Scripture is our authority. MTI is committed to the fulfillment of the Great Commission, and is evangelical and conservative in line with the Reformed faith.
Our current semester ends on January 26, 2018. While the missionary trainees continue their intensive training through January, their children (“Missionary Kids”) are given a winter vacation. We are looking for two young people who are gifted with children to come and supervise, entertain, and practice English with Korean-speaking kids who will eventually go to the mission field with their parents. Most of the children do not speak English.
