Evangelism Training in Key West
In July 2013, 6 teen boys and 3 adults from New Hope OPC in Frederick, Maryland, traveled to beautiful Key West, Florida, to experience first hand the ministry of Bill Welzien and Keys Evangelistic Ministry.We really didn't know what to expect when we first set out but were so blessed by Bill and his ministry that we are hoping to go back again soon. We were given a wonderful place to stay and trained by Bill each morning in sharing the gospel with boldness.In the evenings our group went out to Mallory Square to participate with Bill in sharing the gospel with the people that would walk by and listen to his message. Bill sets up between an escape artist and a tight rope walker to preach the gospel in a creative and engaging way. Our group was challenged to get out of our “comfort zone” and approach people to ask what they thought of the gospel message. We were also challenged to know God's word and handle it rightly so as to be faithful witnesses of Christ.We had such a great experience spending time with Bill and learning from him. We came home wanting to know God's word better and with a renewed desire to tell others about the good news of Jesus Christ. Thanks Bill for serving so faithfully for 27 years.
