Taking Time to be Present
For a week this past summer, I, along with Sawyer Wiersma, his sister, Campbell, Leanne Doezema, and our fearless leader, William Devenney, traveled from our scattered locations in the States to Puerto Rico for my first short term mission trip (apart from my time at Boardwalk Chapel). We all went into the week unsure of what plans or what objectives we had.
A Sense of Communion
Sawyer Wiersma, member of Harvest OPC in Wyoming, MI, recently returned from a short-term trip to Puerto Rico, where he and four others traveled to greet and serve the brothers and sisters there, namely the congregation of Sola Escritura in Guayama, PR.
Growing Closer to the Lord and His People
This summer, my family of nine flew over the Caribbean Sea the way to Puerto Rico. It wasn’t for a cool summer vacation, or merely because we enjoy travelling as a family. The real reason was somewhat simple—for God’s glory.

This opportunity is new for OPC Short-Term Missions but is sure to be a fun one! Iglesia Presbiteriana Sola Escritura (OPC) in Guayama, Puerto Rico (part of the Presbytery of New Jersey) is eager to welcome individuals or a group of 8-10 people this summer.
